Room for Film is an independent production company based in Amsterdam (NL), creating internationally acclaimed fiction films, documentaries, short films and podcasts. Led by producer and founder Eva Verweij, the company develops and produces stories with a strong creative voice. 

Founded in 2017, Room for Film has established itself as a producer of award-winning work that has screened at leading international festivals.  Notable productions include Marlon Brando by Vincent Tilanus, selected for Cannes Semaine de la Critique and TIFF and nominated for a Gouden Kalf; When Grey is a Colour by Marit Weerheijm, winner of a Student Academy Award and multiple international jury prizes; and En Route, which premiered at Berlinale Generation and won a Gouden Kalf at the Netherlands Film Festival.

Room for Film combines artistic ambition with a collaborative approach, working with both emerging and established filmmakers to bring original stories to audiences in the Netherlands and abroad.

Idris Bakker joined Room for Film in 2024, where she has since been developing a diverse slate of short and feature projects. Co-founder Loes Komen is still involved with Room for Film in a supporting role.

In 2023, Room for Film launched 'Room for Stories', a label dedicated to creating tailor-made stories and content for brands, organisations and cultural partners.
